  • Rosh Chodesh Nisan

Yesterday was Rosh Chodesh Nisan.  What is that?  ‘Rosh Chodesh’ is the first day of the month, and ‘Nisan’ is the month.  So because of the New moon on the 11th, the twelfth of March was the 1% moon, or new moon.  Hebrew months always start on the new moon… so March 12 was Rosh Chodesh Nisan.  There’s your Hebrew lesson for the day.  ((wink!))  Hey – it’s fun to learn something new, right?

Having said, Rosh Chodesh Nisan is slightly more significant than other ‘first day of the month’s.  Why?  Because Rosh Chodesh Nisan is exactly in the middle of the Hebrew year.  It’s the middle day, according to many teachers… or so I’ve read.

And yesterday was even MORE special.  Why?  Because we’re at an extremely important point in history.  The last pope has resigned.  The trump judgments are about to begin.  We’re on the cusp of the coming wrath.  The time is upon us.  And don’t think for a second that Yehovah isn’t a god of order/patterns.  He has set up certain days to be special, and things happen on those specific days according to His plan.

Nisan is full of special days.  March 25th (at sunset) begins Pesach/Passover.  The following day is Unleavened Bread, followed by Firstfruits.  For a week, all leavening must be removed from the home and is not eaten.  The Counting of the Omer is about to begin.  We will celebrate the Seder with Elijah’s cup, anticipating his arrival.  LOTS of very important things are on the horizon, and as for me and my house?  We’re pretty geeked.  Already watching the videos by Aish – they have two cute ones I’ll link to, later.

But as for Rosh Chodesh Nisan?  It did not pass insignificantly:

    CARDINALS BEGIN ELECTION PROCESS
    http://abcnews.go.com/…cardinal-dolan-predicts-pope-thursday-vote…101

March 12Black smoke poured out of the chimney above the Sistine Chapel today, signalling that the first vote for a new pope did not succeed in settling on a new pontiff.  Few expected the first vote to determine the next pope and the black smoke was not a surprise. The next vote by the Catholic cardinals is expected to be held on Wednesday.

The cardinals retreated to the Sistine Chapel in a choreographed procession with the 115 cardinals eligible to vote marching in two by two while singing prayers. …The cardinals read the secrecy oath in unison, and then came forward to individually to put their hands on the Gospels and repeat an oath of secrecy…

New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan predicted a new pontiff by Thursday. “My guess is that we’d have a new Successor of St. Peter by Thursday evening, with a hoped-for inaugural Mass on March 19…”  The diocese spokesman confirmed the letter to ABC News.

We are at a very important junction.  What happens next is prophetic, will effect every nation, ever religion, every people group.  It will make history.  This is the last prediction before the end – Peter the Roman, who will see his flock thru tribulation.  And are you surprised that this very important event would begin on Rosh Chodesh Nisan?  Because I’m not.  I’m just smiling.  Because Rosh Chodesh means nothing to the Catholics.  They don’t factor it in… but as for me and my Lord?  Oh, it’s very poignant timing!!

  • Could you take a look at a link when you have time – absolutely no hurry! – and tell me if this is an accurate timeline summary?  I am trying to find something similar on your blog & there is so much information, it’s taking me a while to find anything similar.

I admit to NEVER having studied Revelations at all. Never been a church service where it was even looked at other than just a few out-of-context verses to make a sermon about. You piqued my interest in the Feasts and now I am studying the Torah lessons (going through them very slowly so as to understand all about what I am learning) , but now I am side-tracked with all of this pope-stuff lol.   I do want to concentrate mostly on those Torah lessons, but just as a side interest, I would like to go deeper into Revelations.

Please feel free to delete this link if you feel necessary and just private message me back with your answer if you would rather do it that way.

    THANKS!

  • I’m completely NOT in agreement with that guy. You can read what you’d like, but he considers the trumpet and vial judgement retellings of the seal judgments… not events in their own right. Which is really something, because I’ve tried to do that, and they don’t match up. So… yeah, I don’t endorse that site, or those teachings.

There are a LOT of teachings out there. The good news is that you get to choose what you believe. I don’t believe a word that dude believes. But that’s my choice. :spin:

I used to have a chart on my site, to help. I pulled it because it needed tweaking to be right. Maybe you’ve just encouraged me to do that?

  • Thank you for your insight.  I’m actually not familiar at all with this guy or his blog.  I was just searching for some sort of timeline / overview.  I found 3-4 that seemed credible and to be honest, I wanted to run it by you because I know for a fact how much time & effort you spend studying these things out & I truly believe in my heart you are listening for guidance about your understanding of it. I don’t mean to seem like I am just listening to what you say & not bothering to research it all out for myself, but just like with the Feasts…I needed somewhere to start.  You directed me to the Torah class website.

So, YES- rather than linking me somewhere else…please please tweak any charts you may still have and post them if you can.

  • Humm…
“And the new pope is: Argentina’s Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio.” St. Francis

How does this fit in with everything??? Good Bad?

  • We have a 76 year old Argentinian as Pope…he won’t be installed until Tuesday, so..IF he’s not Peter the Roman, there’s a week for something to happen. I don’t know anything about him to know if he fits (Francis? Not Peter…and not ‘Roman’. Guess we wait and see, huh?)

  • FRANK-ly… I could have fun with this. Get it? Pope Frank? What a way to fix the altar boy and homosexual priest issues. Put FRANK right on it. Homigawsh, gotta stop, or I might wet myself…

  • one thing – he’s a Jesuit. If I remember right, they started in France….so, I’m just watching. HaShem can use anything for His purposes…so, we’ll see.

  • His parents migrated to Argentina….from Italy. Just saying.

  • So you’re saying he’s ‘Roman’ by blood. It works for me… but the Peter part… it’s not coming together, yet.

  • I’ve been turned onto lately the fact that the modern Jewish calendar is no longer based biblically on the actual sightings of the new moon. When the Sanhedrin disbanded 1700 years ago they switched over to numerically calculating the new moon (according to Babylonian mathmatics) instead of actually looking in the sky over Jerusalem (and checking to see if the barley crop is aviv to decide whether to begin the new year or add a leap year). Only YHVH controls whether Jerusalem will be under cloudy skys when there’s a slight probability of seeing a moon sliver, or whether there’s a cold snap preventing the barley from ripening.

There are groups of Jews now in Jerusalem who visually sight the new moon and also check the barley crop, and then report to the masses. According to the New Moon Society, Nehemiah Gordon, and Michael Rood the new moon was NOT sighted on Tuesday, March 12, which puts the new year as beginning today instead, which is one day out of step with the calculated Jewish calendar. In which case Cardinal Bergoglio was actually elected on Nisan 1, 3-13-13.

    Thoughts?

  • In sitting around the table tonight my dad suggested: ”I don’t understand..why can’t they just call him by his real name.”

me: ”Jorge? Pope Jorge??? seriously?! you want to call him that..with a straight face?”

    *grins*

Anyway… the Jesuit philosophy of which this gentleman is a part of is a reflection of the ‘liberation theology’ which takes generous helpings from neo-marxist social/economical concepts. And the society of which he is also a part, has had a massive helpings of sex abuse scandals. For 400+ years the Jesuits have been in conflict with their ‘mother-church’ and other entities within, and I suspect more will come. Lastly… if you’re really looking at ways to take ‘Peter’ as literal, well I’ll throw this out there:  Almost immediately there was some arguement as to the ‘saint name’ that was chosen by this pope. Was it for Francis Assisi or Francis Xavier? This is of particular irritation to them as they’d much rather hope it was Xavier rather than Assisi (as that concept just blows their minds — personally Assisi was a much nicer guy than Xavier.. just saying.). Assisi’s real name was Giovanni Francesco di Pietro (PETER) di Bernardone. Xavier, on the other hand, was one of the founders of the Jesuits at Saint Pierre de Montmartre (literally Saint PETER on a Hill). I’ve found some confirmation the choice was for Assisi and not Xavier, but personally I’d think it was a two-fold choice. Those are the closest reference to a literal Peter I can find. Anyway, what old Jorge Franky was involved in during his time in Latin America is what disturbs me the most.

  • I happened to be near a tv yesterday and watched the pope proceedings live, and when I heard Shep Smith (Fox News) say this, it kinda gave me chills:

“This means the entire world can rejoice that the half of the world’s catholic population produced a man who will lead the church. Who will be Peter. This is important to remember, the man has three names. Born with his baptismal name, Jorge. Then he has to pick a name for pope. We’ll hear that in just a moment. He’s also going to be Peter, the successor of Benedict and he will be the successor of Peter.”

Also yesterday I read that one of the main tenants of the Jesuits is to “return to the teachings of Peter”, or to the true doctrines of the Church. (can’t find the source on that…I will keep looking)

    Interesting, for what it’s worth.

  • “Being a Jesuit is a very important aspect of our prediction in our book,” Horn told WND in an email.

Citing his book, Horn said the name “Petrus Romanus” in the prophecy “implies this pope will reaffirm the authority of the Roman Pontiff over the Church and will emphasize the supremacy of the Roman Catholic Faith and the Roman Catholic Church above all other religions and denominations, and its authority over all Christians and all peoples of the world.”

Horn pointed out the Jesuits order was organized “to stop Protestantism from spreading and to preserve communion with Rome and the successor of Peter.”

  • Sugarplum –

Nehemiah Gordon is one of the nastiest, most horrible Messianics I have ever had the displeasure of conversing with. I don’t care WHAT he says, NOTHING in the Bible says that the new moon is dependent on cloud coverage or not. He’s adding to scripture, and he’s a liar and an ungracious man. Does he honestly believe that the wise men of ancient times couldn’t calculate the percentage of the moon, rain or not? What a preposterous and ridiculous notion. I’m sorry, but the very mention of that pompous ass rubs my fur the wrong way, entirely. :shame:

As for the Jewish calendar being off now, you’re totally right. It’s completely wrong… except when Yehovah allows their schedule to match up with the new moon. Which it did on the 12th of this month. It actually does quite often. And ironically, their Pesach calculation actually matches up with the 1% moon this year, too… which thrills my soul.

((Sidenote: Easter and Pesach will NEVER land on the same day. The Catholics forbid it – it would make the Biblical celebration too Jewish. Idiots.))

But where Rosh Chodesh is concerned, we watch the 1% moon as NASA and other astronomical and scientific sites observe it. My God is a God of order and precision. He doesn’t fair-weather like the idiot Karaite Messianics, or deviate with a man-made schedule like the Jew-by-bloods.

  • I’ve been doing a little research on St. Francis and it seems that Francis of Assisi (1200 version) was born from a Peter, and he also had Peter in his given name. But that’s about the only way I can tie Peter into this whole thing and it seems like a stretch!

I do find it sniggly that we are on the verge of world financial collapse and they bring in this guy that chooses poverty, and they keep going on about how he took a humble apartment over the bigger place he could have had with the church. And how he cooks for himself even though that too could be provided for him, and he turned down having a personal driver and chooses public transportation or walking. It’s like they are putting him in place to be like, ‘see! I can live without, and you can too!’ when everything finally goes down. Should be fun to watch.
