  • Day 1:
    Words from Scripture

And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
          – 1 Corinthians 15:49-53

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will Adonai bring with Him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
        – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the    night.  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Messiah Yeshua, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
        – 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
    - Matthew 24:40-42

In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

    - John 14:2-3

aNNa’S NoTe:  It’s interesting to note that most Messianics, many Christians, and ALL Catholics do not believe in the rapture.  Many of my friends believe that we’re here for the duration – but if that were true, why would one be taken, and the other left?  Wouldn’t that be BOTH being left?  Why would He go to prepare a place in His Father’s mansion for us if we’re here until He comes to Mt. Zion to rule the New Jerusalem?  It’s not logical.  Why would we ‘not be appointed to wrath’ when the Tribulation is referred to over and over as ‘The Wrath’.  No, I believe in a rapture.  And I comfort you with these words.  ((grins))

FiNal NoTe:  At 11:32am EDT, the sun sets in Jerusalem, and Yom Kippur begins.  I will be off-line until 7:30pm tomorrow night, observing the feast/fast.  Just so’s ya know.  Hag Sameach!
