  aNNa’S NoTe:  I’m just not into this anymore.  I’m not.  I watch everyday, and I see what is happening, but I’m not excited like I used to be.  Even over the really amazing news.  I just want to go home.  And there are five weeks left.  I feel like I’ve been running this really, REALLY long marathon, and my second and third winds have passed and I’m now counting down in exhaustion to the end.  Just five weeks.  You can do it.  Keep going… you’re almost there.  Push it, Anna.     World powers have agreed a draft resolution, which expresses “increasing concern” over Iran‘s controversial nuclear programme. The document by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany comes amid fears of “possible military dimensions” to the programme. 

    On Wednesday, Iranian General Hassan Firouzabadi said that – contrary to speculation – the US and Israel were not behind a weekend munitions base blast that killed 17 Revolutionary Guards, including a key ballistics missile expert. “This recent incident and blast has no link to Israel or America, but the outcome of the research, in which the incident happened as a consequence, could be a strong smack to the mouth of Israel and its occupying regime,” Gen Firouzabadi was quoted as saying by the student news agency Isna.

  Ballistic missiles have been the ultimate in long-range weapons for the last half-century, able to reach almost anyplace on Earth within an hour (sometimes less). On Thursday the U.S. Army tested a bomb that can reach ballistic missile speeds and more importantly, has directional controls.  The Pentagon didn’t give specifics about the weapon’s range or speed. Called the Advanced Hypersonic Weapon, or AHW, it was … defined as faster than five times the speed of sound, which is about 768 miles per hour at sea level.

  Russian warships have entered Syrian territorial waters in an aggressive move designed to prevent any NATO-led attack on the country under the guise of a “humanitarian intervention”.  “Russian warships are due to arrive at Syrian territorial waters, a Syrian news agency said on Thursday, indicating that the move represented a clear message to the West that Moscow would resist any foreign intervention in the country’s civil unrest,” reports Haaretz.
  aNNa’S NoTe:  According to the Hebraic sites I read: “There’s an oral tradition passed down from the Vilna Gaon (see Chevlei Mashaiach BiZemaneiu, p.134), that when the Russian navy passes trhu the Bosporus it will be time to put on Sabbath cloths (in anticipation of the coming Mashiach.)  Well… this is the Russian ships coming thru that strait.  I just report.  And chant ‘five months… five months… in the next five months… just hang on…’

    It is with regret…I announce that Barnhardt Capital Management has ceased operations. …The reason for my decision to pull the plug was excruciatingly simple: I could no longer tell my clients that their monies and positions were safe in the futures and options markets – because they are not. And this goes not just for my clients, but for every futures and options account in the United States. The entire system has been utterly destroyed by the MF Global collapse. Given this sad reality, I could not in good conscience take one more step as a commodity broker, soliciting trades that I knew were unsafe or holding funds that I knew to be in jeopardy.

    Everything changed just a few short weeks ago. A firm, led by a crony of the Obama regime, stole all of the non-margined cash held by customers of his firm. Let’s not sugar-coat this or make this crime seem “complex” and “abstract”…what was a surprise was the reaction of the exchanges and regulators. Their reaction has been to take a bad situation and make it orders of magnitude worse. Specifically, they froze customers out of their accounts WHILE THE MARKETS CONTINUED TO TRADE, refusing to even allow them to liquidate. This is unfathomable. The risk exposure precedent that has been set is completely intolerable and has destroyed the entire industry paradigm. No informed person can continue to engage these markets, and no moral person can continue to broker or facilitate customer engagement in what is now a massive game of Russian Roulette.

    And so, to the very unpleasant crux of the matter. The futures and options markets are no longer viable. It is my recommendation that ALL customers withdraw from all of the markets as soon as possible so that they have the best chance of protecting themselves and their equity. The system is no longer functioning with integrity and is suicidally risk-laden. The rule of law is non-existent, instead replaced with godless, criminal political cronyism.

    The International Energy Agency has estimated that Japan would need to spend $3 billion per month on additional oil and LNG in 2012 if the country’s nuclear power output falls to zero next year… When asked about Japan’s winter oil and gas demand outlook, Van der Hoeven declined to comment as the country’s actual demand situation would depend on the country’s nuclear output situation, which remained uncertain. Japan is about to enter its winter power demand season… Only 11 nuclear reactors are currently operating in Japan… representing 20% of the country’s total installed capacity of 48.96 GW spread over 54 reactors, according to Platts calculations.

    …If none of the nuclear reactors are allowed to restart in the coming months, Japan is scheduled to lose its nuclear output completely in April or May 2012 because of the Japanese regulation that requires nuclear power plants to carry out scheduled maintenance at their reactors at least once every 13 months. If this happens, it would be the first time Japanese nuclear power production has fallen to zero since it commenced in 1966. Speaking at a press conference in Tokyo, van der Hoeven expressed her concern over rising crude oil prices that will have “negative impact” on ailing economies in Europe and “poor developing countries.”

  aNNa’S NoTe: I… don’t even care, anymore.  Italian presidential oustings, Greek panic in the streets, German threats of war, British fears of collapse… Japan with no power, millions losing unemployment and protesting… Sure.  Why not?  Bring it on.

  Texas mega-church pastor Joel Osteen says he believes Mormons are Christians.  The statement came yesterday in Washington in response to a reporter’s questions about politics. Osteen said he likes Texas Governor Rick Perry and prays for his candidacy in the GOP presidential candidate race. But Osteen said he also disagreed with a fellow Texas pastor — Robert Jeffress — who recently stated that Perry’s political opponent, Mitt Romney, was “not a Christian” because he is a Mormon, and that Mormonism is a “cult.”

  …Osteen states that while he did not know whether Mormonism is the “purest form of Christianity,” he has heard Romney say that Jesus is the Son of God and is his Savior — and that is one of the “core issues,” the pastor concludes.
  aNNa’S NoTe: I was raised Christian (Plymouth Brethren, United Brethren, Methodist, Baptist, Independent Baptist, Pentecostal, and Congregationalist, respectively).  They all taught that Mormonism is a horrific cult.  I remember sitting thru testimonies of people who came out and were praising the Lord that they weren’t killed in the process, etc.  I am now 38 years of age, have left Christianity… and I have a testimony about how I came out of it and find it to be the greatest deception Ha’Satan ever conceived…

  …and finally can say – for the first time in my life – that Mormons *are* Christians.  Gala, Ida Red, Delicious, Jonathan, Fuji… an apple’s an apple.  They ALL believe in Jesus.  They all read the Bible and worship God.  They’re ALL Christian.  I’ve finally reached the point where I agree with Osteen.
