Story of the World — Chapter Twenty-One
~~~~~~~ Medes & Persians! ~~~~~~~~~It has been a while. Well… not for us – we’ve been doing lessons, but it’s been a while since I posted any of our activities. I’ll be playing catch-up for months, I swear it.This week, we read about how a baby was supposed to be killed Snow White style, but (also Snow White style) the man ordered to do it didn’t have the heart and the baby grew up and overthrew the evil ruler, and became Cyrus the Great, who united the Medes and Persians into the… um, Medo-Persian empire. Which… isn’t that about the time of Esther’s story? That’s okay, we do that ever Purim, so we can just put that in, later.
The activity they recommended was making silver engraved plates. So we did!

Isaac is gettin’ it done, too! I should add, there were no instructions on how to do this, so we just covered cardboard circles with aluminum foil, and used pencils to do our engraving!And of course our final projects… in collage format:
